Good Friday was a glorious day. Apparently one of the hottest Easters on record. We had a great walk up on the Downs before lunch.

We were supposed to be camping this weekend at Blackberry wood campsite. We received a credit note for the camp fees (companies like these are trying not to give refunds), we'll try to stay there again once the madness has passed.

The afternoon was spent reading in the garden. Stephen King has referred to "The Stand", saying the disease described in the book is not related to what's happening here.

And then another pub visit with friends. This time, we chose "Ye Olde Blackberry" as a meeting place. It was easy to fill an hour and a half chatting. We have scheduled another pub visit next Friday. We will, of course, choose a new pub.

We have managed to create the feeling of being on holiday, despite the fact we are still at home.

I keep having people say, "Gee, it's like we're living in a Stephen King story." And my only response to that is, "I'm sorry."
